D-FECT will make any New Year’s Eve a little sexier…

Sunday, December 31st, 2006

In case you got nil on your to-do list for tonight, you’re in luck.  D-FECT, Altered Encryption, Slant, Bjoo, Lycan, and many others will be playing tonight at Buzzlife’s Electric Avenue New Year’s Eve event.  There’s not really much more I can say other than that.  Be there!

Jingle All the Way.

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

This week we are going to be having a slightly abbreviated version of the show… um, for the holidays. Early dismissal type thing. SWEET.

So starting off the show Skandalus is going to be playing for awhile and then Shade is going to throw together an extremely impromptu extra long awesome holiday feely downtempo mix. He’s not sure how long it will last or what it will include or even how good it will be. But it WILL BE JOLLY. On this point, EXBC delivers. Listen.

New Event - Dubstep in the District

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

Although this doesn’t directly relate to anyone here at Expansion Broadcast, I just wanted to inform our listeners that there is a new party getting started in January featuring nothing but dubstep. The party is being headed up by our friend Whighzeguy and will feature some of the finest dubstep this side of the Mason-Dixon.

The results are in: I’m We’re awesome.

For those of you not in the know, D-FECT (Deinfamous and myself, IllEffect) were nominated in this competition to see who would play Buzzlife’s New Year’s Eve party. Well, as the title to this post implies, we won (barely).

Towards the final hours of the competition it gotta pretty close. We only ended up nudging out our good buddies, Altered Encryption, by 2 votes. Luckily, we’re pleased to announce they did decide to go with the top four drum and bass picks for night. So, that said, the drum and bass lineup for the night will include ourselves, Altered Encryption, Lycan, Slant and Bjoo.

Expansion Podcast 012 - Hip Hop Edition

Monday, December 18th, 2006

In an attempt to mix things up a tad, we decided to make this last episode of Expansion Broadcast an all hip hop showcase. Cam One unfortunately wasn’t able to make it out but thankfully Jukata came correct. I did play about a half hour of drum and bass to start the show off but who wants to hear that crap anyways?

Anyway, download Jukata’s all hip hop set. Its absolute quality from beginning to end.

Expansion HipHopCast this Friday

Thursday, December 14th, 2006

We’re taking a slight departure from our usual format this week. Shade’s gonna be absent which means Illeffect is runnin’ t’ings. So this week I’ve decided to let Jukata and Cam One come on the show and takeover the night with nothing but hip hop. I’ll likely get things started for the night and assuming I can figure out a way to fix my headphones I’ll mix up some hip hop myself for a bit.

In any event, you all know the dealio. Tune in to the show live from 7 to 11 PM EST on Friday night!

Mampi Swift, IC3, Logistics and EXBC’s very own, Hitoi

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

Tonight!  Check out EXBC’s very own Hitoi doing her thing at Club Five in Washington, DC.  She’ll be warming up things for Mampi Swift and Logistics.  You know you want to go - so just go!

For more information, check out Upfront’s events section.

…More like Expansion AwesomeCast.

This was a really fun show with good showing by our residents. I’ll admit I was a bit neglectful on the microphone this night. I was a tad preoccupied with being pwned by Skandalus in Wii Sports. Seriously, WTF! She kicked my ass at everything!

Anywhozer, like I said this was a really good show. D-FECT(icles) dropped a real deep set with lots of chilled out vibes and such. Hitoi kept that same theme going and then Ransom closed out with some more techy bits. You’ll definitely want to get your hands on these sets so start your downloading now! :)

Spend your New Year’s Eve with D-FECT

Thursday, December 7th, 2006

I’m not about to start some ridiculous promotional campaign or anything like I’ve seen so many people do in the past but I figure, shit, this is my website, I DO WHAT I WANT!  So, that said, if you live in the Washington, DC area or plan on spending your New Year’s Eve in our fine district, do yourself a favor and hop on over the Buzzlife message board and vote for D-FECT (Deinfamous and myself, IllEffect) to play at Buzzlife’s annual New Year’s Eve party.

You will have to register for the message board if you’re not already a member but that should only take a few moments.

If by some odd chance you don’t know anything about Deinfamous or myself, well, listen to Expansion Broadcast Friday night.  Both him and I will be rocking out the first two hours of the show.
