This week’s show is definitely one you all are not gonna want to miss. Superstar-up-and-comer (is that an oxymoron?) Perpetuum (Renegade Hardware, Renegade Recordings, Gasm, and more) will be stepping up along with “New Zealand’s First Lady of Drum and Bass”, B-Line.
Well aside from me totally botching up about 15 minutes worth of ODJ’s set, I’d say this last week’s show was fan-freakin-tastic. For anyone who was listening during ODJ’s set and thought they might be hearing Super Mario Bros, well, you were almost right. It was actually Super Smash Bros Melee. Yup, I’m a total moron. Sorry Jackson. Sorry listeners. I promise I won’t play video games during any DJ sets next week!

Patrick Hue-e, the man (or one of them rather) behind Destroyer.net is throwing a big ol’ SXSW party tonight down in Austin, TX. I’d go but ya know… its 1500 miles away… so I think I’ll sit this one out. But that doesn’t mean you or I can’t listen live via Destroyer.net. Just click the usual links to listen. This jonx is runnin 3-8 PM central time so thats 4-9 PM EST.
Tonight will surely be a huge night for DC drum and bass. Bailey, Nu:Tone, and Sub Focus can all be found at Upfront’s 5:DNB Sessions at Club Five tonight. Our very own Hitoi will be starting things off with her sexy-big-tune collection. There’s a $10 cover and things get started around 9:00 PM. I’ll see you there.
Well, I wasn’t there so I really have no idea just how awesome the show was but if I had to rate it on a scale of “awesome” to “really awesome”, I probably put it somewhere around “totally awesome”. Hey folks and folkettes, Jukata and Jungle Jessi are going to be heading up the show tonight from their house in Rockville. Guests for the night will include Brian Arsenault, and EXBC virgin James Z.
So this is a bit sudden, but District Ignition are throwing a two room even on Saturday March 10th in DC. All of the dnb room’s local support is EXBC through and through, with myself, Jungle Jessi and Jukata on the line-up, with Mason from Philadelphia headlining. Jukata is actually opening with Cam One, playing a special hip hop set made of rappy beats, and then the rest of the night is drum’n'bass. The main room has Annalyze headlining, and local support from Proxxy & Latern B2B, and 2Rip.
Should be a fun night, runs from 10PM to 3AM, has a full bar, and it is 21+ to enter. The venue is RnR Bar & Lounge in Chinatown, near the MCI center; not to be confused with Rock & Roll Hotel in NE. Here is a link to the flier:
I was told this is a “pre” party for the event, which is supposed to make its grand opening in April. But be sure to come out and check out the even this weekend.
In case anyone is lacking in the “oh-its-Wednesday-night,-whatever-shall-do?” department, I got you covered. Tonight is Upfront’s second Focus event at Club Five. It’ll be me, Bassmachine, Cakes, and Kaotix all doing it up nice and sexy… or techy… or evil (sorry) dark. Yeah so come out, it’ll be fun stuff.
