Just to give you all a little background, Google offers this service where you can be notified via email every time it indexes some keywords that you choose. So as an example, I have it notifying me every time the phrase “Expansion Broadcast”, “Eric Masiello”, or “illeffect” is indexed just so I can see what out there might be mentioning me or my site.
Sooo, I get a notification today saying the following sites included the keyword “illeffect”: http://www.isound.be/album/2094678…
So I check the link and low and behold, its a mix me and my buddy Stuart did years back hosted on their site. I wouldn’t even care so much other than the fact they are actually charging for it! I mention it to Hyun who happens to be online talking to Bryan/Signal. He scopes the site and what does he discover: “Robot Death Squad”.
I sent a nastygram to the email addresses listed on the site’s contact page. One of them already bounced back as invalid (fuckin shocker!). The sites apparently based out of Belgium (or at least so the domain implies) so I highly doubt there’s shit anyone can do about it. I just wanted to vent.
