Old School Friday
Monday, August 20th, 2007It’s gonna be nothing but old school business this Friday on Expansion Broadcast. I personally love these nights on the show and this one looks to be our best one yet. More than likely we’ll have Godfather Sage and Cakes taking it way back for us. I know Deinfamous is all over the “old school tech step” front and I’m not quite sure what Ransom has in store for us just yet but I’m sure it’ll be “kick’ace.” Stay tuned. This Friday will be delicious!
Update…
Here’s the breakdown on sets I’ve received thus far:
- Cakes:
Theme wise I was planning on 97-99 deep soundscape stuff. I’m talking extremely noodly and melancholy…
- Ransom:
…I will cover the 1996 to 2002 spectrum, mainly playing tech-step but some other stuff sprinkled in.
- Godfather Sage:
i’m playing 94-96 deep shit. crunchy beats with a touch of light and dark.

Podcast 40 Part Thweeeeee: Deinfamous b2b NaCl
Tuesday, July 10th, 2007I kinda dooked up the recording on this one (sorry D and Salty). I was only able to record the first 70 minutes or so of the set. But nevertheless, its a good one so get on it.
Expansion Podcast 38 Part 2: Deinfamous
Sunday, July 1st, 2007Well since D bitched out on releasing that nice little studio mix he recorded, here’s the next best thing.
Expansion :( Cast
Friday, June 22nd, 2007So between the construction crew diggin up Michigan Ave (for what reason I have no idea) and simply being a subscriber of RCN’s oh-so-reliable service, we are presently without int3rn3tz.
Thus, no show tonight.
On the brighter side of the gloomy post, Deinfamous just finished recording a new studio mix which I reckon will be posting sometime very soon.
Expansion Podcast 36 Part 3: Deinfamous live from Strangeland
Thursday, June 7th, 2007I must say, the blackman did throw down a pretty kickass set. And the little random record scratch in the middle of the set… yeah that was Colleen’s doing.
Taking over your record store. Or at least the one in Annendale.
Thursday, May 31st, 2007EXBC Takeover at Strangeland = IllEffect + Shade + Deinfamous + Hitoi + Darkenetiks + Ransom. We’re all there (’cept Harry) and its gonna be wiiiiiiiiiiiild. That’s wild with 12 i’s. Count ‘em. I just did.
So yes as you probably deciphered by now, we’re doing another takeover at Strangeland Records. It’s gonna be this Saturday, June 2nd starting at 8 PM. It’s free. They got records. We got records. You got ears. We got music. Somehow this makes you want to come. I know it does. So come.

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007
Yes I know - that title made pretty much no sense at all. But any opportunity to rag on D is a good one for me.
Anyway, definitely try and check my boy Deinfamous as he does he damn thing at Focus at Club Five tomorrow (Wednesday) evening. It’s only 5 dollars so you got no excuse. Motaki and Jungle Jessi will be warming up for him and the mighty Hyx will be closing out the night. Check it!
