This is gonna be a pretty busy week, event-wise for the EXBC family. We got Deinfamous playing this Wednesday, then Harry Ransom on Friday at BLAOW, and then finally Refugee and I (IllEffect) are playing the Sweetspot in DC on Saturday. But let’s start with the Wednesday event and we’ll trickle out details on the remaining two events later this week. Cool? Cool.

As I’m sure many of you will recall, we and Dirtbox had it out back in February this year. Hard to say who really won considering most of us were prettttttttttttyy trashed by the end of the night (myself VERY much included).

So we’ve decided to pull the crews together and have it out once again on Sunday, September 4th. Now you might be thinking “Sunday? Wha wha wha??” Not to worry young buck. The following day is Labor Day (= No Worky).

As usual, the event will be free. We’re kicking things off at 9 PM and going til whenever ODJ finally says “Uncle.” (So, 9:05?… Kiddddding!) This will be a friendly competition amongst friends who share nothing but love, respect, and a thirst for blood. Oh, and it’s free! Hope to see you all there.

Yep, I know I’ve been spamming the internets about this one for the past few weeks so my apologies. :( Forgive me? Great, thanks! :)

So like I said, tonight is gonna be our big hurrah in DC. I’ll keep the post brief and highlight the major points:

Starts at 9 PM and goes til 3 AM
The event is 18 and up
Cover charge is $5 before 10 PM, $10 after (so get there early!). If you bought a badge for the Forward Fest, the party is free!
We’re doing this at the Loft (411 New York Ave NE, Washington DC). If you have questions about getting there, shoot me a message and I’ll sort you out.

I have put up a few batches of records up for sale on eBay today, with each batch containing 10 pieces of vinyl, auctions starting at $0.99 with no reserve, and 10% of the sales are going to charity, specifically Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund – a GlobalGiving Project. All of the records are drum’n'bass promo releases, so they are white labels and stored in paper sleeves. They are also used, so the condition varies from good to very good in most cases. Help me make some room in my condo, and feel good knowing a portion of the sales is going to charity. Here is a list of links of what is up so far:

A few surprises in there perhaps, and I plan to list about 20 to 30 more batches like this. Almost all of them just promo copies though, and no, this does not mean I am getting out of DJing. I am playing on a huge, local-focused line-up at an event called The Hangover Cure, taking place on Saturday January 1, 2011 at U Street Music Hall. The event is free for those 21+, and $10 for those 18 to 20 years old. Entry includes a free pho dog and a free Bloody Mary, and I will be sure to play a lot of bass driven music. Catch me on deck from 12:20AM to 12:40AM, just after the Uncle Jesse guys and Billy The Gent, plus lots of other great local DJs like Reed Rothchild and Jackie O. are on the line-up.
