Damn! Only 8:35 and it’s already one of THOSE days??
Screw that man. Just go home and ENJOY you’re day.
    Ha! ;D

    (If only…) :|

  2. IllEffect says:

Oh damn, I think my time zone must be screwed up on my site. yeah, its like noon. What the hell.

  3. IllEffect says:

Well here’s what I got so far… (more to follow after I get back from lunch)

Zinc – Super Sharp Shooter (Remix)
The Streets – Its Too Late (High Contrast Remix)
    Logistics – Waiting Line
    Atlantic Connection – Plastic People
Lomax and Focus – Five Weeks
Marky Bungle – Let Me Tell You
Icicle & Nymfo – Frankie Mountain
    Muffler – Everything

  4. IllEffect says:

This is a pretty crappy mix so far, I’ll be honest.

  5. subfugitive says:

You gov’t people eat lunch too d#mned early. :D

So, are you buying more MP3s these days, or do you just have a lot of disposable income to spend on all the recent vinyl releases?
I swear, most of your track lists have about half the tunes that are on my wishlist but that I can’t afford at the moment. (Damn mortgage! ;)

‘Five Weeks’ is awesome, and I’ve been waiting forever for it to come out since I heard on Soul:ution Radio from, like, March 2007.
Which ‘Shooter’ remix is that, btw? Is it a new one?

  6. IllEffect says:

I’ve mostly been buying MP3s. You can get Five Weeks on Beatport. I picked up that and Frankie Mountain there on Friday and I bought the entire new Logistics album off Beatport a week or two back. The “Its Too Late” Remix, “Let Me Tell You,” and “Everything” I bought as vinyl.

The “Shooter” remix is the original remix that got released however many years ago. Rolldabeats says 1995 but that seems too long ago. But anyway, its this one: http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/ganja_records/gan011

So you grabbed that ‘Moodswings’ LP, eh? I was eyeing that myself this weekend. My picks off of it were ‘Split Level’ (I love the piano [sample?] in it) ‘We All,’ and ‘Everything’ as well. Figured I’d probably download just those tunes.

I’m definitely going to get ‘Five Weeks’ on vinyl as ‘Twelve’ is wicked as well.
Not having a CD turntable kinda hinders my ability to make use of any MP3s I get. I can only really use them as intro tunes ’cause I can’t adjust the pitch! lol

  8. subfugitive says:

You burn to CD or have you moved into the realm of some ‘Scratch’ software?

  9. IllEffect says:

I burn CDs. I actually owned Serato for awhile but I was never really a fan of it so I sold it to Ricky Ricardo. Although now that I got my new laptop I kinda wish I still had it to try out on that. Ohhh well.

  10. IllEffect says:

    Track listing complete!

  11. subfugitive says:

Oi! New laptop did you say?!
The wifey and I are looking at getting a new laptop, too. What did you get if you don’t mind my asking? We’re thinking those HP Pavilions are pretty nice for the price.
(I know this is completely un-drum&bass related, but…)

  12. IllEffect says:

I actually went balls-to-the-wall and bought a pretty pimped out MacBook Pro. I figure doing the type of work I do its somewhat necessary. I freakin love it! (Although it is a bit expensive) The regular MacBooks are a bit more competitively priced.

  13. subfugitive says:

    MAC?!? Ewwwwwwwwwww… :D

I’d love to get crazy and spend, like, $2,500 dollars on something, but I think we’re going to try to stick to under a grand.
We have an aging Gateway (5 years old) that has served us well but can’t handle all the fancy new graphics the Intarwebz throws at you nowadays (the bouncing clouds — or something — on this here site give it hell).
And you can get a pretty smokin’ (2Ghz+, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, etc.) for a pretty good price.

But you have to put up with Vista… :(

  14. IllEffect says:

Welcome to laptop talk on EXBC Radio.

Hehe, if you wanna get a PC, I’m a fan of the Dell M1330 and/or M1530 Models. They’re slick looking and well made from what I’m told.
